Take a fabulous winter vacation and save yourself a pretty penny...

Affordable Winter Adventures

With so many travel deals available, winter is a great time for traveling on a budget. Many destinations offer year-round tropical weather; just because you are traveling during the winter months doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll have to deal with winter weather conditions.

Jamaica
Jamaica has a deep history and plenty of sunshine to go around. Its white-sand beaches, villages and resorts offer something to suit everyone’s tastes. There are fun adventures all over the island, from river-rafting on the Martha Brae River to tours of historic coffee plantations. This beautiful island also boasts many waterfalls and beaches, as well as tropical rainforests. Jamaica also has better travel deals than the neighboring Caribbean islands.

Arizona & New Mexico
Warm in the day, with temperatures dropping at night, Arizona makes for a great winter vacation. When visiting Arizona one must make a point to see the Grand Canyon and its staggering vistas. Lodging in Arizona is very reasonable, and there is the opportunity to venture down to New Mexico locations, such as Santa Fe and Taos for day trips. Santa Fe is well known for its art scene and abundant galleries. While Santa Fe may be a bit pricey in respects to lodging, there are many smaller towns with more affordable options near by.

Utah
If you are looking to take a ski vacation this winter, you will find great deals in Utah. If you plan your trip for midweek, you can find exceptional deals on lodging and lift tickets. For example, an average lift ticket in Tahoe runs $53 on the weekends versus $39 during the week. Powder Mountain offers almost 5,500 acres of fluffy snow. At Brighton you will find 200 acres of well lit trails, perfect for night skiing.

London
London is less traveled in January and gives you the opportunity to view this beautiful city as the locals would. However, the weather is cold with temperatures in the 40s. London is still pricey during the winter months, but there are many great deals to be had, especially lodging and airfare combination packages.

London has many great museums to offer, such as the Tate Modern and National Gallery. Marylebone is a trendy neighborhood offering cafes, galleries and eclectic boutiques

Rome
Rich in history and art, Rome has some of the most beautiful architecture in the world. During the winter months the crowds are much smaller, although there are still many people around, as in any large city. But, getting into the more popular tourist sites is much easier and less congested. In December the days can still be warm enough to make you shed your jacket, making Rome an ideal winter adventure.

Hungary
As Hungary is not yet using the euro, it tends to be less expensive than many other European countries. Budapest, in particular, is well-suited to winter travel. You'll find hundreds of hot thermal springs feeding public baths and hotel spas throughout the city. Air and hotel packages this winter have been greatly reduced in price to encourage tourism despite the difficult economy.

This year why not switch things up a bit; rather than taking the same old summer trip, take a fabulous winter vacation and save yourself a pretty penny. There are limitless options and deals. By booking your flight and hotel during the winter months, you can save hundreds on your vacation and keep yourself out of the “tourist jams.”
